Of course, it's nearly impossible to find a PR agency that doesn't boast "a unique understanding of our clients". But If you've been around for a while, you'll know how hollow such words can be when the frontline troops of most mid-to-large-sized agencies are well-meaning but inexperienced youngsters.

A few years ago we relocated from the booming technology hotspot of Cambridge to a secluded but well-connected part of the North West of England. We enjoy beautiful scenery, hardly any traffic and lower overheads, which is reflected in monthly fees. When we need to be in London on your behalf, we spend a tiny fraction of the cost of Covent Garden offices on train fare and modest hotel rooms. When we need to travel internationally for our clients, we use Manchester or connect to Schiphol in Amsterdam. All of this is far more cost and time-effective than fighting our way to and from Heathrow. And there's always the Internet and Skype, of course.
